Looking for an experienced Custodian for a leading producer of wholesome dairy products in the Dalhart, Tx. area.

This position is full time - temp to hire.
Pay starts at $11.50 an hour.

Job duties for Custodian:

Safely and properly use necessary PPE.
Consistently follow all GMP practices.
Always maintain sanitary conditions in all areas.
Provide prompt and courteous service to all internal and external customers.
The employee will be required to operate a forklift and hand truck.
Monitor and report any broken fixtures, equipment, walls, flooring, ceiling and light fixtures immediately.
Perform all duties as outlined on the Custodial Master Sanitation Schedule(s).

Requirements

Requirements for Custodian:

English skills must be proficient to understand, read, write and speak English.
High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Ability to lift 45 lbs.
Pass the 1 POST Offer Employment Testing (POET).
Lift Truck Certification (within what time frame i.e. 30 days of employment)
Demonstrates proficiency on position specific Needs Analysis.

Physical Demands:

Stand and walk almost the entire workday.
Employees must be physically capable of working in any of the job tasks within the cheese plant.
Required to work at heights and in fairly- small areas.

Work Environment:

Exposure to dust, fumes, smoke, gases, or other irritating substances.
Exposure to solvents or chemicals.
Exposure to slippery walking surfaces: water.
Exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity depending on time of year.
