Initiates and implements all phases of the nursing process. Delivers and documents resident care. OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Class I. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Initiates and implements all phases of the nursing process. • Delivers safe resident care while executing physician orders under the direction of the Director of Nursing. • Documents all information relevant to resident care. • Maintains communications as required with other staff members and resident family members. • Makes rounds and assesses care needs for residents, ensuring residents' dignity and rights at all times. • Ensures a safe resident environment, including implementing and adhering to infection control and safety procedures. • Performs operational support duties as required. RequirementsEducation: Graduate of an accredited School of Vocation or Professional Nursing. Experience: One year's experience in a medical setting preferred. Licensed by the State of Texas as a Vocational or Registered Nurse. CPR Certification required.
